Position: Mechanical HVAC Engineer (Data Center)

Mechanical HVAC Engineer – Data Center Market

This position is available at any location in the United States.

We are looking for a high‑energy Mechanical HVAC Engineer to focus on our Data Center market. The role includes field investigations, client and vendor interfacing, equipment sizing and selection, and the preparation of construction design packages.

Responsibilities
  • Perform field investigations and interface with clients and vendors.
  • Size and select HVAC equipment and prepare construction design packages.
  • Develop process design basis, perform optimized design calculations, and generate process drawings.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines for system integration.
  • Design and layout HVAC systems for data centers, including comfort and clean‑room applications.
  • Develop design criteria, conceptual and preliminary design documents, including P& general arrangements.
  • Develop final design documents, specifications, sequences of operation, piping layout, and construction documents for chilled water, cooling water, and related systems.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and manage schedules and technical quality.
Requirements
  • 2–4+ years’ experience in HVAC system design.
  • Thorough knowledge of HVAC design codes and standards.
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
  • Experience leading a building mechanical team and collaborating with remote disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineering license.
  • Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D.
  • Experience designing plumbing/utility systems.
