Senior Engineering Geologist - Portland, OR

A well established, employee owned geotechnical consulting firm is seeking a Senior Engineering Geologist to join its growing team in the Portland area. This is a key hire for a high performing office with a strong backlog of local and regional work, offering the opportunity to take on technical leadership and client-facing responsibilities from day one.

• Lead geological components of geotechnical projects from investigation through design and reporting
• Interpret subsurface conditions, develop geologic models, and provide practical recommendations to support design teams
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to the technical development of the team
• Participate in client meetings and help support ongoing business development efforts
• Work on a diverse range of projects including infrastructure, slope stability, landslides, and site development

• 7+ years of experience in engineering geology or geotechnical consulting
• Strong background in field investigations, logging, and geologic interpretation
• Experience with slope stability, landslide evaluation, and hazard assessment preferred
• Professional licensure (PG or CEG) or ability to obtain in the near term
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interface with clients and internal teams
