Director - Substation Design

Ideal candidate bring a mix of hands-on substation design experience as well as experience managing a team of engineers.

Must Haves:

• 10+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering
• 3+ years of substation experience. Could be substation design work or substation field operations work
• 3+ years of experience managing a team of engineers
• Needs to have managed 5+ people at a time
• Experience managing multiple projects at a time
• Strong working knowledge of the technical fundamentals of substation design - should be able to facilitate technical conversations and identify potential design issues
• Ex:
  System voltage, load demand, utility standards and regulatory requirements, Single-Line diagrams, transformers, circuit breakers, switch gears, etc.
• Engineering Bachelor's Degree
• Very strong communication and leadership skills

Plusses:

• Electrical Engineering degree
• Experience working in the utilities industry
• Focus on high voltage substation design (up to 500KV)
