Duties
Help
Perform structural design calculations, stability analyses, and prepare technical sketches, specifications, and cost estimates.
Evaluate contract drawings, material details, and contractor calculations to ensure compliance with engineering standards.
Conduct site visits to monitor progress, gather data, and resolve structural design or construction problems.
Perform structural analysis and design for complex dam and levee safety projects, including preparing calculations, models, drawings, and specifications.
Provide project management support by developing budgets and cost estimates, monitoring schedules, and coordinating with internal and external project teams.
Offer technical direction and support by reviewing designs and calculations, ensuring quality and contract conformance, and providing expert advice to project stakeholders.
Serve as the lead subject matter expert for structural engineering on dam safety, providing technical expertise on complex risk analysis, design, and construction.
Manage and review technical products, including dam safety reports and design documents, prepared by internal teams and external A-E firms.
Lead and mentor interdisciplinary engineering teams, coordinate project schedules, and review the work of technicians and junior engineers.
