We are seeking an accomplished Senior Revit Piping Designer to independently execute advanced piping layouts and lead specific project scopes within complex industrial environments. In this role, you will collaborate across disciplines to drive design accuracy, enforce model quality standards, and provide technical guidance on equipment interfaces and operability. This position offers an opportunity to contribute directly to workshare execution, project estimation, and multidisciplinary design workflows.
Core Responsibilities
- Design Execution: Develop and refine detailed industrial piping layouts, models, and technical documentation independently with high precision.
- Multidisciplinary Coordination: Liaise directly with engineering disciplines, client representatives, and project team members to resolve design interfaces and align on project requirements.
- Technical Quality Control: Review P&IDs, vendor drawings, and engineering specifications to drive design integrity, model health, and overall deliverable quality.
- Project Support: Contribute subject matter expertise to scope development, workshare execution, cost estimation, and change-management evaluations.
- Standards Enforcement: Direct design workflows in accordance with piping specifications, material requirements, and established layout fundamentals.
- Education: Associate’s degree in Design Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent practical industry experience (+2 years).
- Industry
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of piping design experience within industrial sectors, such as Oil & Gas, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, or Semiconductors. - Software Proficiency: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on expertise utilizing Autodesk Revit for industrial piping design and model generation.
- Technical Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of piping specifications, materials, layout fundamentals, equipment interfaces, and the interpretation of P&IDs and vendor documentation.
- Professional Capabilities: Strong organizational abilities, self-directed execution capabilities, and effective communication skills in a collaborative team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology or a related field.
- Specialized design experience within semiconductor production facilities.
- Advanced Revit capabilities, including custom family and component development, model troubleshooting, and workflow optimization.
- Proven background leading piping design teams, overseeing deliverable quality, and managing model consistency.
- Practical understanding of pipe stress principles and their impact on system routing and pipe support design.
- Direct experience with QA/QC workflows, model health reviews, and specification-driven design frameworks.
