Mechanical Engineer
We are seeking a skilled mechanical design contractor to develop ruggedized enclosures for military applications. The role involves taking a design from initial specification through the full design cycle to create a manufacturable prototype. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in MIL-STD-810, IP67/68 sealing, and simulation for thermal, shock, and vibration analysis.
Responsibilities- Develop ruggedized enclosures for military applications.
- Take designs from initial specifications through the full design cycle.
- Create manufacturable prototypes.
- Apply MIL-STD-810 standards in design processes.
- Conduct simulations for thermal, shock, and vibration analysis.
- Ensure IP67/68 sealing is achieved.
- Proficiency in CAD software.
- Experience with MIL standards and military standards.
- Knowledge of electronics chassis design.
- Expertise in Fusion 360, preferred.
- Proficiency in thermal design, vibration testing, shock analysis, and vibration analysis.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with Mil standard design is preferred.
- Understanding of ITAR regulations.
- Experience with ruggedized systems.
The position involves working on military applications, requiring adherence to strict standards and regulations. The use of advanced CAD software, such as Fusion 360, is integral to the role. The work environment demands precision and attention to detail to ensure designs meet rigorous military standards.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Portland, OR.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
