Job Description & How to Apply Below

About the Role

wool& is building a structured retail pop-up program and we need a sharp, hands‑on operator to help us pull it off. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations and managed by our Retail Pop‑Up Project Manager, the Retail Pop‑Up Experience Lead will travel to each event location and serve as the right hand in executing both full‑price and sample sale events.

There is also an opportunity for an onsite retail experience at our Portland location.

This is a role for someone who thrives in fast‑moving environments, can hold a high customer‑service standard, and has the instincts to manage on‑the‑ground operations without needing to be told twice. You’ll be involved from set up to tear down and every moment in between.

While this is a temporary engagement, we’re looking for someone with the capability and ambition to grow with the brand. For the right person, this role is a meaningful opportunity to build something and to be recognized for it.

What You’ll Do Pre‑Event
  • Partner with the Retail Project Manager to identify, evaluate, and secure event venues that align with wool&’s brand and operational requirements
  • Collaborate with the internal sample sale team on event details, including product assortment, pricing, and timeline coordination
  • Coordinate inventory prep and pre‑shipping needs with our warehouse team
  • Coordinate inbound logistics to ensure product is received at the event location accurately, on time, and in sellable condition
Event Setup & Teardown
  • Assist with venue setup including fixtures, merchandising, signage, and POS system configuration prior to each event opening
  • Ensure the space meets wool& brand standards and is customer‑ready for day one
  • Lead or support efficient breakdown at close, including packing unsold inventory, restoring the space, and coordinating outbound shipments
Sales Floor Operations
  • Serve as a consistent, engaged presence on the sales floor throughout each event
  • Manage day‑to‑day operations during the pop‑up: opening and closing procedures, cash and payment handling, and inventory counts
  • Monitor and maintain an organized, well‑stocked, and inviting sales environment across both full‑price and sample sale product sets
  • Support accurate inventory tracking and flag discrepancies to the Project Manager and operations team
Customer Experience
  • Deliver an elevated customer experience consistent with wool&’s brand: knowledgeable and warm
  • Assist customers with product selection, sizing, and brand education
  • Collect and relay real‑time customer feedback including product questions, fit issues, and reactions to pricing, to the Project Manager for post‑event review
Staffing Support
  • Help onboard and brief any local hires or brand ambassadors on event procedures and expectations
  • Act as a point of escalation on the floor when the Project Manager is occupied with logistics or vendor coordination
Cross‑Functional Coordination
  • Communicate proactively with the Portland office team on inventory needs, supply gaps, or operational issues
  • Ensure marketing materials, signage, and promotional elements are correctly deployed at each venue
  • Support post‑event debrief by documenting observations, issues, and recommendations for future events
  • Support post event inventory audits
  • Potential for an on‑site retail opportunity at our Portland location.
What We’re Looking For Required
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in retail sales, retail operations, or a related customer‑facing role
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a sales floor independently, including opening/closing, inventory handling, and customer service
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail you can hold a lot of moving pieces without dropping them
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable representing a brand in person and coordinating with internal stakeholders remotely
  • Comfortable with physical demands of event work: extended time on your feet, lifting and moving product and fixtures, and working a full Tuesday through Monday event week including weekends
  • Willing and able to travel frequently across the U.S. for all scheduled pop‑up events (travel expenses covered by wool&). There is also potential to travel to Europe.
  • Self‑direc…
