Event Manager – Candlelight Concerts (Part‑time, On‑site)
We are seeking a part‑time onsite Event Manager for our Candlelight Concerts in New Mexico. The role is weekly on Wednesdays and Fridays, with a 6‑month contract that may be extended. The position involves coordinating onsite operations, managing staff, and ensuring a smooth, intimate concert experience in undiscovered venues.
Main Responsibilities- Act as the main point of contact onsite for Candlelight events and staff, communicating directly with Fever Originals manager.
- Maintain full visibility into staff roster, set schedules, and coordinate with the staffing agency for any reschedules.
- Ensure all staff are trained for duties such as validating tickets, accommodating guests to their seats, and setting up candles before the concert.
- Transport event supplies to and from venues (drive a U‑Haul or provide alternative transport if required).
- Manage inventory and track supplies for venues.
- Handle any printing needs.
- Maintain guest lists for all events.
- Deliver opening and closing remarks at events; this may include speaking publicly on an occasional basis.
- Provide weekly reports to Fever Originals Project Managers detailing pre‑ and post‑event findings and feedback.
- Assist with evaluating and executing walk‑throughs of potential venues.
- Represent both the Fever and Candlelight brand with professional communication and customer service at every event.
- 1+ years of event‑management experience or a relevant degree (preferred).
- Interest and passion for live music and event organization.
- Exceptional customer‑service skills.
- Experience leading an onsite team.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work in a pressured environment.
- Knowledge of AV and PA systems (desirable).
- Must be able to use a personal laptop.
- Valid driver’s license strongly preferred.
The contract is 6 months, starting as soon as possible. Shows run mostly on weekend nights and shift times vary from 4–8 hours per day. The role is up to 29 hours per week and may require occasional work on holidays (excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas). Pay is $25 per hour; further details can be discussed during the interview.
