OHSU Customer Service Patroller

Overview

SP+, a Metropolis company, is an artificial intelligence company that uses computer vision to enable checkout‑free parking experiences. The company has over 23,000 employees and powers parking at more than 4,000 locations across North America and Europe.

• Provide extensive customer service outreach and education to the OHSU community through in‑person, email, and phone interactions.
• Conduct foot and vehicle patrols to monitor lots, provide assistance, and ensure secure access to/from OHSU.
• Assist Transportation & Parking staff, event teams, maintenance staff, and office staff with daily operational needs.
• Issue citations, warnings, and other procedures per OHSU Transportation & Parking policy.
• Install, remove, and maintain barricades, signage, parking meters, and other equipment.
• Maintain a high level of interpersonal, conflict‑resolution, empathy, confidentiality, and integrity.

• High‑school education or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous customer‑service experience (required); experience with parking and LPR software is a plus.
• Data‑entry skills and familiarity with smartphones and tablets.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to use a hand‑held computer and, if required, operate a motorized vehicle or bicycle.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, organization, attention to detail, and independent judgment.
• Ability to walk for extended periods of time and lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Availability to work Monday‑Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (second or third shift and weekends may be required).

Work requires standing, walking, handling equipment, exposure to weather conditions, and sometimes driving a company vehicle. Duties also involve lifting up to 50 lbs., using a hand‑held radio, and working in potentially dangerous traffic situations.

Salary: $20.00 per hour.
