Focus Search LLC is recruiting for a Controller with a mission-driven conservation non-profit based in Portland, Oregon. This role will oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and strong internal controls. This includes managing audits, tax filings (including Form 990), financial reporting, reconciliations, and closing processes while supporting program teams across multiple states.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
- 3–5 years’ experience in a similar accounting role for a medium-sized organization
- Knowledge of GAAP, nonprofit accounting, and government contracting rules
- Strong understanding of Federal Grants
- Proficiency with ERP systems (Net Suite preferred) and advanced Excel skills
- Strong time management, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
