Responsibilities:

- Prepare and oversee financial reports and data analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

- Manage and coordinate the month-end close process, ensuring timely and precise completion.

- Develop and maintain cash forecasting models to support financial planning and decision-making.

- Lead the implementation of accounting standards, ensuring adherence to regulations and policies.

- Identify and drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

- Support the integration of acquisitions by aligning financial processes and systems.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reporting processes and tools.

- Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced accounting staff, fostering detail oriented growth.

- Ensure compliance with GAAP principles and audit requirements.

- Monitor and evaluate financial performance, recommending strategies for optimization.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience within mid-sized companies.

- Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting standards.

- Proven experience in financial audits and compliance processes.

- Demonstrated ability to implement and improve accounting processes and systems.

- Effective communication and collaboration skills across teams and departments.

- Detail-oriented mindset with excellent organizational and analytical abilities.

- Preferred experience with transport industry accounting practices.
