Summary
This role supports the Commercial Credit Admin team by performing credit, financial statement, and cash flow analysis, business loan approvals, and other related department support functions.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Perform analysis of complex financial statements and tax returns utilizing software systems.
- Research and examine credit risks, assess history, and articulate reasons for support of an extension of credit.
- Prepare credit submissions to Sr. Management when recommending approval.
- Responsible for conducting on‑going verification and regular tracking of members’ credit quality through periodic review of credit reports, analysis of required financial information, and any other approval conditions.
- Perform periodic covenant compliance checks on borrowers and guarantors as required.
- Responsible for ensuring timely loan renewals and annual term loan reviews.
- May serve as mentor to new team members.
- Provide training and/or guidance to internal customers to enhance and develop commercial business acumen within the organization.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to continually enhance member experience and internal service.
- In conjunction with manager and Compliance, ensure regulatory changes are vetted and implemented to ensure compliance.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to be a self‑starter and take ownership of various processes.
- Personal computer knowledge including word processing and spreadsheet abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment.
- Deep knowledge of commercial loan documentation required.
- Strong business acumen and knowledge of commercial lending environment.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related field required.
- Six+ years of credit underwriting experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in utilizing systems to analyze tax returns and financial statements and in drawing sound conclusions and recommendations preferred.
- In depth knowledge of credit analysis, credit administration, credit policy and risk analysis preferred.
