• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA or CMA strongly preferred
• 12+ years of experience in accounting, including 5+ years as a controller
• Experience with a multi-entity organization with $200M+ revenue
• Experience in the AEC sector highly preferred

As our client’s next Corporate Controller, you’ll sit at the intersection of strategy, stewardship, and execution. You will be responsible for the financial health of an established AEC company, directing procedures and systems necessary to maintain proper records, guiding financial decisions by enforcing policies and procedures, and protecting assets through internal controls.

You will oversee all audits—including financial, overhead, DCAA, AASHTO, and retirement plan audits— and will monitor and confirm financial conditions, prepare budgets, and analyze variances.

You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements, anticipate future legislation, and advise management on necessary actions. You will establish preventative maintenance requirements, service contracts, recruit and train new financial employees, and coach and counsel tenured staff on operational changes.

Success in this role requires strong numeracy skills, confidentiality, leadership, organizational, and communication abilities.

This is a full‑time hybrid role with a 9/80 schedule at our client’s riverfront office.
