Job Overview

Strategic Financial Analyst – Senior or Lead (Hybrid, 3 days/week in office). Candidates must reside within commutable distance of one of the following locations:
Portland, Medford, Fargo, Burlington, Vancouver, Renton, Boise, Lewiston, or Salt Lake City. This role supports Cambia’s mission to create a person‑focused and economically sustainable health care system.

Senior Strategic Financial Analyst

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Economics or Statistics.
  • CPA, CMA, MBA or ASA preferred.
  • 7–9 years of experience (or equivalent education and experience).
  • Health insurance industry experience preferred.

Skills & Attributes

  • Deep knowledge of applicable statutes, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to develop and influence policies, provide solutions to complex problems, and articulate complex issues.
  • Proven business acumen across multiple business areas.
  • Experience with AI tools and technologies that enhance productivity is highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high‑effective presentations to all organizational levels.
  • Develop complex financial models and analysis using advanced techniques and financial systems.
  • Plan, organize, schedule, coordinate and monitor large work streams.
  • Guide the work of analysts and provide training or consulting expertise to other departments.
  • Advise and influence the business on a wide variety of issues, lead positive change, mentor analysts.
Lead Strategic Financial Analyst

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Economics or Statistics.
  • CPA, CMA, MBA or ASA preferred.
  • 12 or more years of responsible experience (or equivalent).
  • Completion of certifications required in the area of specification is desirable.

  • Strong problem‑solving, strategy and communication skills across the organization.
  • Deep expertise in business/healthcare principles with proficiency across multiple functions.

Work Environment

Work is performed primarily in an office setting with no unusual conditions.

Compensation
  • Senior: Expected hiring range (Oregon, Washington, Utah, Idaho) $101,200 – $136,900; full salary range $95,000 – $155,000; bonus target 15%. North Dakota expected hiring range $90,906 – $122,991; full salary range $80,716 – $133,182.
  • Lead: Expected hiring range (Oregon, Washington, Utah, Idaho) $121,600 – $164,500; full salary range $114,000 – $186,000; bonus target 15%. North Dakota expected hiring range $114,251 – $154,574; full salary range $101,444 – $167,383.
