Tax Manager

Role Summary

Tax Manager – responsible for coordinating tax engagements and delivering high-quality tax returns, projections, and consulting services. Manages review of individual, pass‑through, corporate, and trust federal and state income tax returns, as well as property and other non‑income tax returns. Provides client updates, recommends solutions, mentors Tax Seniors and Associates, and participates in training on tax law.

• Coordinate tax engagements and manage teams to complete tax returns and advisory products.
• Keep Tax Partners updated on progress and recommend solutions for challenges.
• Review federal and state income tax returns for various entities.
• Review property tax returns and other non‑income tax returns.
• Build professional client relationships and stay current on client industries.
• Facilitate and attend training to deepen tax law knowledge.
• Mentor junior staff to develop skills and career goals.

• Minimum 6 years of current or recent experience in public accounting.
• Active CPA license.
• Strong understanding of Internal Revenue Code and Regulations, with research experience.
• Experience with Case Ware Engagement, CCH Axcess Tax, and Go File Room  preferred.
• Proficiency in client communication and project management.
• Self‑starter who pays attention to detail, solves problems independently, and seeks help when needed.

Must be located in the Portland metro area or plan to relocate. Sponsorship for H‑1B visas is not available.
