What You’ll Do
As Accounting Manager, you’ll play a critical role in supporting Leatherman’s mission by leading core accounting operations and serving as a trusted business partner across the organization.
Key Responsibilities Include- Leading the monthly close process, including consolidation of global entities and timely financial reporting
- Ensuring accurate financial records and reporting in accordance with GAAP and company policies
- Reviewing general ledger activity and account reconciliations to maintain financial integrity
- Partnering with FP&A and business leaders to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision‑making
- Strengthening internal controls and ensuring compliance across accounting processes
- Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes, workflows, and reporting capabilities
- Overseeing treasury activities, cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and financial compliance
- Coordinating annual audits, tax compliance activities, and external reporting requirements
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a talented accounting team across Accounts Payable
- Collaborating with leaders across Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, HR, and other departments to support company objectives
- The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader who combines strong technical accounting expertise with business acumen, curiosity, and a continuous improvement mindset

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- CPA, CMA, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- 5+ years of progressively responsible accounting or finance experience
- 2+ years of leadership experience managing and developing employees
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles
- Experience managing month‑end close processes and financial statement preparation
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience in manufacturing, consumer products, or operational accounting environments preferred

This position follows a hybrid work schedule, with employees expected to work onsite at least three days per week.
