Work hand-in-hand with county departments, leaders, and community groups. You'll be their go-to expert for all things budget-related.
* Be a Data Champion:
Help us use data and performance metrics to guide our budget decisions. It's all about making sure our spending leads to the best possible results.
* Dig Deep:
Do some serious financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling. Your work will help us figure out where our money should go to make the biggest impact.
* Tell the Story:
Take raw data and turn it into clear, easy-to-understand stories and visuals. We want to show everyone the impact we're making.
* Keep Improving:
Always be on the lookout for ways to make our budget processes, tools, and reports even better.
Got skills in business intelligence or data visualization tools like Tableau? That's a huge plus. If you do, you'll fit right in and help us make our financial and budget data shine.
Our team
The Budget Office plans, coordinates and prepares the annual County budget, financial forecasts and budget projections, ad hoc analyses for County decision-makers, and cost control analyses. Budget staff serve on countywide task forces related to budget, finance and other fiscal matters; identify and resolve financial problems; and partner with County Labor Relations in collective bargaining research, analysis and in preparing labor cost projections.
