Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I)
As a Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I), you obtain Securities Industry licenses (Securities Industry Essentials, Series 7, and Series 66) and learn foundational advisor skills—including acquiring, building and managing client relationships, evaluating complex financial pictures, and guiding clients with advice and solutions to improve their financial lives. You will begin working in a financial center delivering core banking, investment solutions, and client care.
After demonstrating success as a licensed Advisor Stage I, you typically progress to Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II, where you deepen relationships within a client portfolio and may advance into additional roles across Bank of America and Merrill. The Academy supports you through a dedicated program of tools and resources throughout your career.
This position is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements. All employees engaged in residential loan mortgage originations must register with the federal registry system and remain in good standing. Because this role requires SAFE Act registration, you must register and undergo the required background check. Failure to obtain or maintain registration may result in immediate termination.
Responsibilities— Build a successful career at Bank of America through world‑class training and onboarding programs.
— Receive training and one‑on‑one coaching from Academy managers.
— Develop business knowledge by applying a consultative approach to clients.
— Earn the SIE, Series 7 and Series 66 licenses (require 63 & 65 in lieu of 66); must obtain SIE within 30 days of hire and Series 7 & 66 within 120 days.
— Build your network by interacting with banking customers, small business owners, and higher net worth clients.
— Provide end‑to‑end comprehensive advice, deliver client reviews and presentations, and recommend strategies.
— Collaborate with core banking and investment partners, connecting clients to solutions across Bank of America and Merrill.
Required Qualifications- Aptitude in obtaining required industry licenses.

- Bachelor’s degree or minimum one year of financial services industry or sales experience.

High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent.
Additional InformationThis position is open for the entire market and the specific Financial Center location will be based on business needs. If you are offered a position, you will be trained at one financial center, and then potentially begin your role in a phone‑based capacity until another suitable financial center location is determined.
Work ScheduleMonday‑through‑Friday, with some Saturdays required. Schedule example: 8 am‑5 pm, 9 am‑6 pm, etc.
