Financial Analyst
Hybrid role (3 days/week in office) at our Portland, Medford, Fargo, Boise, Lewiston or Salt Lake City offices. Candidates must reside within commutable distance of that location.
As a member of the Finance team, the Financial Analyst serves as a trusted finance business partner, providing financial guidance and support; builds budgets, forecasts, conducts variance analysis and reporting; prepares financial analysis and support such as cost-benefit, return on investment, and capital resource analysis for new business opportunities, proposals, contracts, or product development; supports cost savings and process improvement efforts;
provides financial governance and oversight – all in service of creating a person-focused health care experience.
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, economics or statistics.
- CPA, CMA, MBA, or ASA preferred.
- Health insurance experience preferred.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic knowledge of applicable statutes, policies, and procedures in a functional area.
- Ability to identify alternative options for the business in partnership with leadership.
- Sound decision-making skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- General understanding of business principles, theories, and concepts.
- Ability to work with a broad range of stakeholders and influence when applicable.
- Experience with AI tools and technologies to enhance productivity and decision-making is highly desired.
- Deliver basic presentations to group or team.
- Develop financial models and analysis using advanced analytical techniques and complex financial systems.
- Plan, organize, schedule, coordinate, and monitor basic work streams.
- Provide training or consulting expertise to other departments, analysts, and external stakeholders.
- Provide informal leadership as needed and suggest improvements to unit workflow/processes.
No unusual working conditions. Work primarily performed in office environment.
Salary and LocationOregon, Utah, and Idaho:
Expected hiring range $69,700 – $94,300; full salary range $65,000 – $107,000; bonus target 10%.
North Dakota:
Expected hiring range $65,986.69 – $89,276.11; full salary range $59,716.46 – $95,546.34.
