Position: Wealth Management Advisor - Portland, OR

Responsibilities

  • Partner with clients to understand their goals and deliver tailored financial strategies, always acting as a fiduciary and in their best interests.
  • Serve as the primary financial contact, navigating complex situations and guiding clients through and into retirement.
  • Proactively grow your practice by expanding existing relationships and engaging TIAA's full wealth management capabilities.
  • Collaborate with internal specialists to deliver comprehensive recommendations and anticipate client needs.
  • Bring a thoughtful, creative, and entrepreneurial approach to practice growth—always centered on what's best for your clients.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience managing a book of business and building long-lasting relationships with affluent clients.
  • Deep knowledge of investment solutions and financial planning.
  • Exceptional people skills—engage clients with authenticity, build trust naturally, and always act in their best interests.
  • Solutions-oriented mindset with the drive to make a meaningful difference in clients' financial lives.
  • Thrives with both autonomy and accountability.
  • FINRA Series 7 and Series 63;
    Series 65 or 66.
  • Life and Health Insurance License—all licenses must be obtained within 120 days of start date.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Life and Health Insurance License (Resident State) Multiple Issuers required.
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level I (TIAA will cover cost and increase base salary upon successful completion).
Compensation

Base Pay Range: $100,000/yr – $110,000/yr.

This is a sales role—eligible for a competitive variable compensation package tied to your book of business, sales performance, and key performance metrics. Total compensation extends well beyond base salary and grows as your practice grows.
