Loan Officer / Lending, Credit Analyst, Commercial Banking
Location: Portland, OR
Compensation: $120,000–$180,000 base salary plus incentive compensation
We are seeking a high-caliber Commercial Lender who thrives at the intersection of relationship building and disciplined credit execution. This role is ideal for a lender who understands the Portland market, values long-term partnerships, and approaches lending as both a craft and a responsibility. You will originate, structure, and manage commercial loans while serving as a trusted financial advisor to a diverse portfolio of business clients.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, grow, and manage a portfolio of commercial relationships, including C&I, owner-occupied and investor real estate, and specialty lending as appropriate
- Source new business through proactive calling, networking, and community engagement
- Structure credit facilities that balance client needs with sound risk management and profitability
- Prepare and present clear, well-supported credit packages for approval
- Monitor portfolio performance, identify emerging risks, and take timely action
- Partner closely with credit, underwriting, treasury, and operations teams to deliver a seamless client experience
- Maintain strong knowledge of market trends, competitive products, and regulatory expectations
- Represent the institution professionally within the Portland business community
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field; equivalent experience considered
- 5+ years of commercial lending or relationship management experience
- Proven track record of business development and portfolio growth
- Strong credit analysis and loan structuring skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities
- Deep familiarity with the Portland and greater Pacific Northwest market preferred
