Net Power Cost Analyst

Pacifi Corp seeks a Net Power Cost Analyst to forecast and analyze wholesale power costs, fuel expenses and market transactions for a major western U.S. electric utility. In this role, you will build and maintain cost and load forecasts, model power supply portfolios, support budgeting and rate cases, and provide insight on net power cost drivers to leadership. You will collaborate with trading, planning, finance and regulatory teams to assess risk, ensure data accuracy, and support grid reliability and renewable integration in a highly regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Forecast net power costs, fuel expenses and wholesale market transactions
• Develop and maintain financial and load forecasting models for power costs
• Analyze drivers of net power cost variances and prepare reports for leadership
• Support annual budgeting, planning cycles and regulatory rate cases
• Model power supply portfolios and scenarios, including renewables integration
• Collaborate with trading, planning, finance and regulatory teams on market strategies
• Ensure data accuracy, validation and documentation for cost and volume inputs
• Monitor wholesale market trends, pricing and regulatory changes affecting costs
• Provide risk analysis and sensitivity studies on key cost assumptions
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear, concise manner
