Taxology offers a challenging opportunity for talented operational tax professionals with proven experience either as a tax manager or middle office manager / analyst in the portfolio investment (fund) industry (e.g. institutional investors, investment managers, fund managers, or custody banks). We currently have an opening for an operational tax professional.

• Maintaining client relationships from an operational perspective, timely procuring the relief‑at‑source and reclaim documentation, monitoring time lines and documentation deadlines
• Analysing and pre processing client data (income files, outstanding tax reclaim files)
• Liaising with clients’ custodians and investment managers on the one hand and local tax administrations on the other hand to ensure proper and timely delivery of documentation and information required for filing and post filing (after questions from local tax administrations)
• Monitoring and communicating claim deadlines (with the help of automated notifications by Protocol)
• Collaborating with the business development and IT development teams to help further automate withholding tax reclaim processes and improve the Protocol platform
• Periodical follow up of claims filed, tracking refunds, forwarding refunds to clients bank accounts
• Maintaining excellent working relationships with local tax inspectors

• Fluent English speaker;
• University or University of applied sciences degree in business economics, finance, tax law or tax economics, and looking forward to pursuing a career with a fast growing fintech company;
• 2 – 5 years relevant experience;
• At least 2 years of experience an operational (tax) manager with financial institutions (preferably gained with commercial banks, custody service providers to institutional investors, and/or securities brokers, and/or institutional investment managers);
• Digital‑minded and tech‑savvy;
• Self‑starter attitude;
• Strong Excel skills;
• Exceptional organizational, presentation and communication skills, verbal and written in English;
• Ability to set clear targets and development plans. Set objectives to achieve those targets;
