In this position, you will serve as a Compliance and Enforcement Specialist, who provides oversight of the enforcement process, to ensure complete, accurate, and supportable evidentiary materials appropriately to sustain enforcement actions.
Duties- The duties described are for the full-performance level. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity.
- The duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Carrying out a variety of analytical assignments related to marketing order and agreement program compliance and enforcement.
- Analysis and presentation of import data and the coordination of information from various sources.
- Recommends and leads the development of procedures, review criteria and regulatory approaches for use in administering enforcement activities.
- Attends and makes presentations at conferences and seminars sponsored by various groups, to promote awareness and understanding of regulations.
- Conducts audits, either on-site or virtually, of importers, handlers, and Marketing Order Boards/Committees to monitor compliance with requirements.
- Provides training to headquarters, marketing field offices, and marketing order program staffs in various areas of compliance on a regular basis.
- Reviews reports and correspondence prepared by Branch specialists for technical accuracy, proper interpretation/communication of policy, responsiveness, and tone.
- You must be a US Citizen or US National.
- Individuals who were born male after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
- Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
