Job Title

Lane County Sheriff's Office is looking for DPSST Patrol Certified law enforcement officers who are interested in an exciting opportunity to join our team.

Job Description

The Lane County Sheriff's Office has a strong family oriented culture employing dedicated and highly motivated deputies who provide police services in a beautiful county encompassing 4,700 square miles. This posting is open to currently certified applicants who will have at least two years of law enforcement patrol experience at time of hire. Additionally, we offer: pay commensurate with experience, 80-hour vacation/leave (PTO) bank at hire, additional 80-hour vacation/leave (PTO) bank at one year, take home vehicle, DPSST certification pay 3% intermediate, 3% advanced, if qualified, bilingual pay available if qualified after assessment, abbreviated academy for out of state applicants, longevity incentive 2.5% at ten years, additional 2.5% every fifth year after, and other assignment specific incentives available.

Qualifications

Training and

Experience:

Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade. Two years of experience dealing with the public. An equivalent combination of experience and training that will demonstrate the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. Licensing Requirements:
Possession of a current Oregon driver's license at the time of appointment. Possession of a basic certification in corrections and as a peace officer with the State of Oregon at the time of appointment or the ability to successfully apply for such certification.
