East Portland Surgery Center is seeking a motivated Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. Job Summary: The Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.

• Monday‑Friday work schedule
• No nights, no weekends, no holiday work hours
• No call required

• High School diploma or GED required
• Computer skills required
• CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred
• Six months of experience preferred
• 2‑3 years experience as Instrument Room Technician
• Experience with all types of sterilizers
• Knows operating room instrumentation
• Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray
• Understands operation of steam/gravity sterilizer
• Understands Sterrad sterilizers
• Ability to prepare reports and keep records
• Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items required
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing condition of the patient when needed
• Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians
