Are you a friendly, organized, and compassionate professional who enjoys working with patients and medical teams? Join Portland Gastroenterology Center as a Medical Assistant and help our providers deliver exceptional care to our patients.
What You’ll DoAs a Medical Assistant, you’ll work closely with our providers to assist with patient exams and treatments. You’ll also handle important administrative tasks to keep our clinic running smoothly. Your main duties will include:
- Assisting with patient care, including taking vital signs, doing lab tests, and giving injections
- Collecting blood samples through phlebotomy
- Answering phones, scheduling appointments, and providing patient instructions
- Keeping accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Helping new patients complete medical history and information forms
- Entering and updating patient information in electronic records
- Assisting providers as needed for exams, treatments, or special procedures
- Following clinic policies for scheduling, insurance verification, and patient communication
Education: Associate’s degree from a two-year college or technical school (preferred)
Experience: Six months of relevant medical office or clinical experience (preferred)
Skills: Ability to handle multiple tasks, provide excellent patient care, and communicate clearly
Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (preferred)

Maximum: $28.83/hour
