We are currently seeking a full-time caregiver, or Personal Assistant, who will support a woman that experiences developmental disabilities. She is an independent, kind, and humorous woman who lives in her own apartment in SE Portland. She enjoys getting out in the community and participating in social activities. She values time spent in the community as well as downtime at home, and she likes planning and participating in arts and crafts activities.
ResponsibilitiesEach day, you ll assist with personal care and household tasks such as cooking meals and tidying the apartment. She needs substantial assistance with showering, dressing, eating, and using her adaptive equipment. You will assist her in managing health care needs including medication administration and proper care when she is ill or injured. You will also accompany her to community activities and support daily living as needed.
ScheduleTwo shifts per week totaling 42 hours:
2pm on Sunday to 8pm on Monday (30-hour shift) and 8am to 8pm on Friday (12-hour shift).
You will also work your regular hours on Agency holidays.

- High school diploma or GED
- Be able to pass our pre-hiring screenings, including a reference check, a physical with a lifting test of 50lbs, and a criminal history background check
- Experience in the developmental disability field preferred, but not required
- $18.00 per hour
- Eligible for overtime pay for hours worked over 40 hours per week
- Holiday pay (double pay for the first 12 hours of any agency holiday shift that you work)
