Job Duties
- Develops relationships with community members, particularly those at higher risk (e.g., individuals experiencing
homelessness, mental health challenges, or substance abuse issues) and also our youth. - Uses trauma-informed and culturally responsive communication to establish trust with individuals and ensures they feel heard and respected.
- Identifies individuals who may need social services, support, or resources and connects them to relevant community organizations, shelters, healthcare services, POIC services, or other resources.
- Intervenes in situations only when rapport has already been established and uses a supportive and non confrontational approach.
- Builds trust and rapport with our vulnerable population.
- Connects community members to resources while on Tri Met and any of its platforms.
- Provides support in a non-conflicting manner.
- Maintains documentation and reports during shift.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
A high school diploma or GED is required for this role. In addition to the education requirement, this position requires one year of related experience. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be used to satisfy these requirements.
