On-Call Treatment Assistant

The Burnside Recovery Center offers a 3.7 Level of Care Services, focusing on stabilization and support for clients with substance use disorders as their primary diagnosis, along with co-occurring mental health conditions. Our integrated, person-centered care model meets clients and their families where they are, combining therapy, mental health services, medical care, and community-based management into one coordinated pathway to recovery.

With expedited access to primary care, outpatient substance use disorder services, and recovery-supportive housing, our holistic approach empowers clients to achieve long-term success.

Treatment Assistants are responsible for providing care and close intensive supervision to all patients in a 24-hour residential treatment facility. General responsibilities include: providing patient-centered care, using de‑escalation skills, observing and reporting behaviors and supporting a healthy and safe milieu environment, providing high quality customer service, and other duties as needed. This position works closely with the Milieu Supervisor, counselors, and other staff to develop and implement a supportive environment for patients.

On-call shifts available for day, swing and overnight shifts. Treatment Assistant must work at least 4 shifts a month.

$22.71 per hour

• Experience (must meet one of the following):
  • HSD/GED AND one (1) year of work experience in a related field (e.g. shelter, residential or day treatment, counseling, substance abuse treatment)
  • HSD/GED AND two (2) years of in‑person, high‑volume customer service experience or two (2) years of volunteer experience in a related field which would be considered half‑credit (e.g. 4 years of customer service in a non‑medical office setting would be considered 2 years credit; 2 years volunteer in related field is considered 1 year)
  • Associate’s degree in Social Services, Behavioral Health, Human Services, Psychology, or a related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in any field
• Must meet CCC privileging requirements as required by FTCA.
• Knowledge of Twelve‑Step Recovery process.
• Have, or be able to obtain, Adult CPR prior to start date.
• Must have current Adult First Aid Certification prior to start date.
• Ability to adhere to Central City Concern’s drug‑free workplace which encourages a safe, healthy and productive work environment and strictly complies with the Drug‑Free Workplace Act of 1988. An employee shall not, in the workplace, unlawfully manufacture, distribute, dispense, possess or use a controlled substance or alcohol.
• Valid driver’s license preferred. If required to drive, must pass a DMV background check, and be designated an “acceptable” driver as outlined in Central City Concern's Fleet Safety Policy. If required to drive, must pass an initial driver’s training within 60 days of being an approved driver and continued recertification training.
• Must generally have the ability to walk, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, reach, pull and lift heavy objects, and climb stairs with reasonable or no accommodation.
• Must pass a pre‑employment drug screen, TB test, and background check. This includes clearance by the DHS Background Check Unit.
