Travel RN - Case Management​/Utilization Review - Case Management

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager for an acute care hospital position in Oregon, requiring a minimum of 2 years of inpatient case management experience and an active OR RN license.

Job Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting - Magnet, Teaching, and Level I Trauma Center designation,

• Case management for adult inpatient and ED patient populations,

• Caseload ratio of 1:20-25,

• Charting performed in Epic (experience highly preferred),

• Day shift, 5x8 hours (7:00 AM-3:30 PM), with variable weekend requirements,

• Floating may be required within scope to adult inpatient, ED, and Peds units at the facility or a nearby affiliate hospital - refusal to float may result in contract cancellation,

• No on-call requirements,

• Block scheduling may be available upon request,

Job Requirements

• Active Oregon (OR) RN license required - a pending license may be accepted if the application has been submitted and received by the licensing board, qualifying for the 90-day license exemption,

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required,

• Minimum 2 years of acute, inpatient, hospital case management experience within the last 5 years required,

• Strong clinical background in ED and ICU settings preferred,

• Travel nursing experience preferred,

• Two manager or supervisor references from within the last 24 months are required - Charge RN references are not acceptable,

• COVID vaccination proof required - no exemptions accepted,

• Provides RN case management services across adult inpatient and ED settings,

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,

• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate - no radius restriction,

• Scrubs may be any solid color; no printed scrubs allowed (scrubs provided),

• Parking is available for $16/day (8 AM-5 PM only); public transportation is strongly encouraged,

• RTO of 7-10 days maximum must be disclosed upfront; any approved RTO must be made up at the end of the contract,

• Candidates who were previously employed at or completed a travel assignment at this facility must have been away for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler - a reference from the supervising manager at this facility will also be required,
