ROOM ATTENDANT

The Crowne Plaza Portland Downtown - Convention Center is seeking a Room Attendant to join our team. The Room Attendant cleans and prepares guest rooms, meeting established standards of cleanliness and propriety to ensure guest satisfaction.

• Full-time
• Variable schedule; must be available weekends and holidays
• $19.18 to $20.93 per hour

• Clean, dust, vacuum, and sanitize guest rooms and common areas according to hotel standards.
• Perform maintenance checks and report malfunctioning equipment.
• Provide exceptional guest service, responding to requests promptly and courteously.
• Maintain a neat and clean appearance and comply with hotel safety procedures.
• Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

• Knowledge of general cleaning principles and safe use of cleaning products and equipment.
• Physical strength and manual dexterity to operate equipment and perform cleaning duties.
• Attention to detail and thoroughness to meet room cleanliness standards.
• Effective communication with guests and co-workers.
• Dependable attendance and time-management skills.
• Six months of previous housekeeping or related experience preferred.

Medium Work:
Exerting up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, up to 20 lbs frequently, up to 10 lbs constantly to move objects. Requires well‑paced mobility for up to 8 hours and activities requiring use of arms and legs, such as operating vacuums up to 25 lbs, lifting and moving furniture, partially lifting mattresses up to 155 lbs, and pushing a housekeeping cart up to 175 lbs.

Must be able to walk, stand, bend, climb, lift, carry, crouch, kneel, push, pull, reach, grasp and see.
