LHH is partnering with a well-established, mission-driven organization in the Portland metro area that is hiring a Human Resources Business Partner to support leaders through a period of organizational growth and change. This is a highly collaborative role focused on strengthening leadership capability, guiding workforce strategy, and driving organizational effectiveness.
This is a hybrid position based in the greater Portland area, with a consistent onsite presence expected each week to support cross-functional partnership. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience, with a targeted base salary range of $85,000–$105,000

- Partner directly with senior leaders to align people strategy with business priorities
- Guide organizational design conversations, including reporting structures and role clarity
- Support leaders through change initiatives, workforce planning, and team development efforts
- Provide coaching on performance management, employee relations, and leadership effectiveness
- Identify trends in engagement, retention, and workforce data to inform proactive solutions
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, and HR Operations to ensure aligned support
- Help modernize and streamline people processes to improve clarity and accountability
- Facilitate leadership discussions, team planning sessions, and development workshops
- Serve as a trusted advisor during periods of transformation and growth
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience with direct business partnership responsibility
- Experience supporting leaders in mid-to-large sized organizations
- Demonstrated success guiding organizational change or restructuring initiatives
- Strong employee relations and performance management expertise
- Ability to influence and coach leaders with confidence and sound judgment
- Strategic mindset paired with a hands‑on, solutions‑oriented approach
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and building structure where needed
- Experience using HRIS systems and workforce data to support decision‑making
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build credibility across all levels
- Background in organizational development or leadership development
- Experience partnering within multi‑entity or complex operational environments
- Exposure to workforce planning or talent strategy initiatives
