Hyster‑Yale Materials Handling, Inc. is a world‑class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks. The role is based at the Counterbalance Development Center in Portland, Oregon.
Responsibilities- Partner with site and business leaders to align on business objectives and provide HR guidance on workforce planning, employee relations, performance, and organizational needs.
- Lead core talent activities such as recruiting support, workforce planning, performance management, succession planning, and onboarding for new hires.
- Coach managers through employee issues, team challenges, and development opportunities to create a high‑performing work environment.
- Oversee day‑to‑day HR operations, including benefits support, policy interpretation, and compliance with employment laws and company practices.
- Support organizational changes and site initiatives by helping leaders communicate effectively, manage transitions, and reinforce company culture.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field. An advanced degree or HR certification is preferred. - Experience:
10+ years of progressive HR experience, including substantial experience in HR Business Partner roles. - Skills and Abilities:
- Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, or other technical teams.
- Strong HR experience in leadership coaching, talent development, employee relations, compliance, and benefits.
- Experience working in a matrixed or global organization.
