Our client is a small, dynamic, and growing healthcare technology company seeking a technically skilled, detail-oriented, and healthcare-savvy Implementation and Support Analyst. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, building and improving EDI workflows, and working with healthcare data in a technical environment. You will be responsible for developing, supporting, and enhancing EDI and SQL-based data workflows, monitoring and troubleshooting production systems, and collaborating with internal teams to implement improvements.

Location:
Lake Oswego, OR Hybrid (2 days in office)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, implement, and resolve EDI workflow, SQL data, and other technical issues reported via internal support channels.
  • Monitor and support production systems via alerts, dashboards, and daily reports
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify and implement solutions that reduce recurring issues.
  • Map and transform non-standard data to standard formats using ETL tools and custom logic.
  • Monitor EDI processes and ensure timely resolution of internal support tickets.
  • Perform database development tasks, including writing queries, stored procedures, and supporting database objects in Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Participate in EDI implementations using X12 transaction sets (e.g., 837, 835, 270/271, 276/277) and other proprietary formats.
  • Respond to internal inquiries regarding EDI and healthcare claims workflows, enrollment, and payment file processing.
  • Collaborate with developers, analysts, and support staff to improve application performance and reliability.
  • Assist in documenting technical processes and maintaining operational runbooks and knowledge bases.
  • Contribute to technology projects that enhance system stability and data accuracy.

Required

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a technical or healthcare-related field.
  • Solid understanding of healthcare data and terminology, including claims, eligibility, and remittance processing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, with the ability to write moderate-to-complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views, and CRUD operations.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail and process improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly document findings and collaborate with technical teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), and familiarity with Visio or process flow tools.

Preferred

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with healthcare X12 EDI, including strong understanding of file structures, segments, loops, and elements.
  • Ability to interpret and troubleshoot EDI data issues, such as invalid segments, missing elements, or translation failures.
  • Understanding of HIPAA compliance and healthcare data handling best practices.
