Senior Business Systems Analyst

Tri Met is seeking two Senior Business Systems Analysts to join our PMO.

The IT Business Systems Analyst (BSA) elicits and documents business needs, evaluates solutions, and develops cost, benefit, and risk estimates for IT projects.

Working closely with business stakeholders and IT experts, the BSA helps Tri Met achieve business outcomes through technology, addressing both functional and non-functional needs such as cybersecurity and legacy system retirement.

The BSA creates business cases, roadmaps, and specifications to guide project development and implementation, collaborating with various teams and applying strong communication and analytical skills.

This is a limited-term position ending June 30, 2025.

Responsibilities include requirements gathering, analyzing and proposing solutions, producing business cases, documenting scope and success metrics, designing business processes, creating system models, and managing small projects.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Business, Planning, or related field), at least four years of relevant experience, with specific experience in technical roles, project management, and business process optimization preferred. Certification as a Business Analyst Professional is also preferred.

The position is Grade 16, with a salary range of $97,122 to $145,683, determined by experience and qualifications.
