Pay Range: $83,000 - 96,000

Position Summary

The Cybersecurity Analyst I will be a member of a team of security professionals. As a Cyber security analyst you will assist with assessing, planning, and enacting security measures to help protect our organization from security breaches and attacks on its computer networks and systems. The Cyber Security Analyst I will provide vulnerability analysis, cyber security awareness administration, policy management, project support, participate in security related initiatives to help strengthen our overall security posture.

  • Lives the Vigor Marine Group (VMG) Values every day
  • Assist with analyzing data from information technology and cyber defense tools (e.g., endpoint protection platforms, intrusion detection systems, security monitoring solutions, and direct incident reporting) to identify potential threats and defend VMG against cyber deception and attack.
  • Serve as a key member of the Incident Response Team, supporting response efforts during emerging cybersecurity incidents and coordinating closely with IT and other internal stakeholders as needed.
  • Support the administration and oversight of VMG’s Security Awareness Training program, including monitoring participation and completion rates, identifying past-due training, and coordinating follow-up actions as needed.
  • Assist with developing, maintaining, and improving cybersecurity training content and internal guidance materials (e.g., phishing awareness, reporting procedures, safe handling of sensitive data, and security best practices).
  • Support vulnerability identification and remediation efforts in collaboration with IT teams, including tracking findings and assisting with implementing corrective actions.
  • Provide risk-prioritized recommendations and advisory support to address cybersecurity threats, weaknesses, and operational gaps.
  • Monitors and responds to reporting tools used to defend endpoints against cyberattack.
  • Participate in the development and continuous improvement of VMG’s cyber defense plans, processes, and techniques to mitigate vulnerabilities and strengthen security posture.
  • Participate in program protection and supply chain risk management working groups, prepare documents, coordinate actions, engage in reviews, and secure approvals.
  • Support the development of program deliverables by providing detailed research, analysis, and production of program protection and other security products.
  • Contribute to the development of cybersecurity goals, strategy, and methodologies in alignment with VMG’s overall Information Security program and business objectives.
Job Scope

This position operates within a security team in a dynamic environment to support numerous Cybersecurity tools, programs, and reporting requirements. Maintain responsibility for the planning and continuous monitoring of Cybersecurity and coordinating various policies, programs, and compliance artifacts or standards supporting government and industry security compliance, systems accreditation, and management. Support a coordinated response to complex Cyber-attacks that threaten assets, intellectual property, and computer systems.
