Desktop Support Technician

Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Desktop Support Technician to provide high-quality technical assistance to end users. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, professionalism, and hands-on experience with imaging and desktop support.
Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional customer service while supporting end users both in person and remotely.
• Follow established procedures and instructions to resolve technical issues efficiently and accurately.
• Perform imaging, configuration, and deployment of end-user devices using standard tools and processes.
• Provide day-to-day desktop support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Document issues, resolutions, and steps taken to ensure accurate records and knowledge sharing.
• Escalate complex issues when appropriate while maintaining ownership of tickets until resolution.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and contribute positively to team goals and service quality.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills with the ability to follow directions and deliver excellent customer service.
• 1-2 years of hands-on imaging experience with desktops or laptops.
• 1-2 years of desktop support or technical support experience.
• 3-5 years of total professional work experience (not limited to IT), demonstrating maturity, professionalism, and motivation to learn and grow.
• Ability to troubleshoot effectively, stay organized, and manage multiple support tasks.
• A proactive mindset with a strong desire to assist others and solve problems.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Portland, OR.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
