Overview
Senior Product Manager - Technical (PMT-ES), AWS Elemental Media Services – Portland, USA. AWS Elemental is looking for an experienced leader in the Media Services organization to define product strategy and accelerate adoption of our services in the cloud. The role requires strong technical and communication skills to drive product management across Elemental Media Live. You will own the product lifecycle, roadmap, reporting, and the business needs of the product, and will interact with AWS Network Services to demonstrate impact for customers.
Responsibilities- Lead the lifecycle of the product and be the voice of the product’s customer.
- Own the roadmap, reporting, and business needs of the product.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to size opportunities, write business proposals, model P&L, and build and track customer pipeline.
- Work closely with and across agile teams in a high-visibility, high-impact environment; communicate effectively with AWS leadership.
- Translate ambiguous customer needs into successful products; drive strategic and tactical execution.
- Bring passion for cloud services and contribute to a culture focused on customer outcomes.
- 5+ years of technical product management with internet business experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager
- 10+ years of technical experience (software development, network development, IT, or related)
- 7+ years of full product lifecycle experience
- 5+ years of P&L management and pricing experience
- 5+ years of creating written documentation for new product development
- 5+ years of product management in the cloud computing space
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, finance, or economics
- Experience taking a product from conception through engineering design and to market
- Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS, or LaaS products with end-to-end lifecycle ownership
- Knowledge of engineering practices across the software/hardware/networks lifecycle (coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, certification, livesite operations)
- Experience delivering software products using agile methodologies
- Experience working with customers and technical teams to collect requirements and describe features and technical designs
