Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Technical Operations Project Manager for a well-established and growing organization supporting complex operational, reporting, and data-driven business environments. This is a hybrid opportunity based in the greater Portland, OR area, offering the opportunity to lead impactful operational improvement initiatives within a collaborative and evolving technical environment.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Technical Operations Project Manager will lead cross-functional operational and data-focused initiatives that support critical business workflows, reporting operations, ticketing systems, and service delivery processes. This role combines project management, operational process improvement, technical coordination, and data workflow oversight within a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment. The ideal candidate is analytical, hands-on, and experienced navigating complex operational environments while partnering effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee operational workflows related to recurring reporting, data production, validation processes, ticketing operations, and service delivery across multiple stakeholders
  • Conduct assessments of current data operations, ticketing systems, team structure, and operational procedures while identifying opportunities for workflow optimization, scalability, and process improvement
  • Develop actionable recommendations and help drive implementation and execution of operational improvements across reporting workflows, service management processes, and support operations
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects involving operational improvements, reporting processes, workflow coordination, and cross-functional priorities
  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to troubleshoot operational issues, resolve data discrepancies, improve ticket visibility, and enhance reporting workflows
  • Maintain process documentation, quality standards, and operational controls to support consistency, compliance, and service reliability
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in project management, technical operations, data operations, IT operations, ticketing/service management environments, or related business technology functions
  • Experience working with SQL or similar database/query tools and familiarity with relational database concepts
  • Understanding of operational reporting workflows, data extraction processes, ticketing systems, and technical business operations
  • Proven ability to assess workflows, identify operational inefficiencies, and drive process improvements within complex environments
  • Experience working with or evaluating ticketing/help desk platforms, service workflows, or operational support functions preferred
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
This exciting opportunity offers competitive compensation pay rate of $55-75/hr (DOE) plus medical, dental, vision and voluntary life insurance, an employee assistance plan (EAP), and commuter and transit benefits for those who are working on average 30 or more hours per week.
