- Partner directly with physicians, clinical staff, operational leaders, and IT team members to understand workflow needs and translate them into practical Epic solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve provider efficiency, clinical documentation, patient throughput, and end‑user experience within Epic.
- Troubleshoot and resolve break/fix issues, helpdesk tickets, enhancement requests, workflow problems, and application defects within assigned SLAs.
- Support Epic upgrade, maintenance, optimization, and release‑readiness activities.
- Review new Epic release functionality and communicate potential operational impacts, opportunities, and recommended changes to leadership.
- Gather requirements, develop specifications, document build decisions, and support application design and workflow improvements.
- Develop, validate, and execute application testing, integrated testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing plans.
- Maintain system configuration standards, change‑control practices, and application documentation.
- Create and maintain knowledge base documentation, support guides, tip sheets, and related training materials.
- Support end‑user training for new hires, providers, operational teams, and other personnel as needed.
- Coordinate and maintain appropriate Epic user access, usernames, passwords, and role‑based updates for new, existing, and transferred employees.
- Participate in rotating after‑hours on‑call support.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of Epic functionality, clinical content, and operational use within an ambulatory environment.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, privacy, security, and organizational policies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Current Epic Ambulatory certification required.
- 3-5 years of Epic application analyst experience in a healthcare environment.
- Hands‑on Epic Care Ambulatory build, support, optimization, and troubleshooting experience.
- Strong understanding of ambulatory clinical workflows and how Epic supports provider and care team efficiency.
- Experience working directly with physicians, clinical staff, operational users, and non‑technical end users.
- Experience gathering requirements, developing specifications, testing workflows, documenting decisions, and supporting change control.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and simply, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to resolve issues that require independent judgment, creativity, and follow‑through.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a small, collaborative team…
