Senior AI/ML Solutions Architect (Hybrid) – Oregon, Washington, Idaho, or Utah
We are looking for a Senior AI/ML Solutions Architect who can think strategically about our growing AI portfolio while building the architectural foundation for how we build intelligent systems. This unique technical leadership role sits at the intersection of AI innovation and enterprise architecture and serves as the bridge between Applied AI and our broader architecture practice.
Responsibilities- Prototype solutions, validate technical approaches, and sometimes write production‑quality code to fill gaps.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects and platform engineers on scalability, security, and integration patterns.
- Advocate for AI‑specific requirements such as observability, evaluation pipelines, monitoring, safety guardrails, model governance, and bias mitigation.
- Build consensus through prototypes and working code, not just PowerPoint.
- Shape Cambia‑wide AI system standards and influence AI/ML platform design.
- Architect solutions for complex partnerships and guide AI/ML portfolio decisions.
- Translate AI needs to enterprise architecture and vice versa.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 12+ years in technology, including at least 7 years evaluating business requirements and designing complete systems in complex environments.
- Minimum 2–3 years of technical leadership and architecture experience.
- Strong knowledge of modern AI/ML systems (GenAI, LLMs, RAG architectures, agentic systems, classic ML, ML/LLM operations).
- Proven ability to prototype and build production AI applications, APIs, and integrations.
- Hands‑on experience with AI‑specific requirements: evaluation frameworks, observability patterns, monitoring, model governance, bias mitigation, and safety guardrails.
- Experience with AI/ML platforms and cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc.) and hands‑on implementation.
- Architecture experience across business units and technology domains; proven ability to design solutions that cross organizational boundaries.
- Experience architecting for regulated industries (healthcare preferred) and complex partnership integrations.
- Exceptional consensus‑building and communication skills across technical domains.
- Strong leadership and mentoring experience.
- Experience influencing senior business and technology leaders on technical strategy.
Base salary range: $153,000 – $250,000 per year. Bonus target: 20% of base pay.
