Position: Sales Engineer - Delphix (US-Northwest Region)

Position Summary

Senior Sales Engineer – Senior Sales Engineer for the Delphix team responsible for partnering with US-Northwest (WA/OR) sales executives to provide technical information that helps customers decide to purchase the Delphix platform. This role highlights data security, virtualization, and data refresh capabilities, educating customers on how to rewind or refresh data efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Present and demonstrate the Delphix platform, tailoring the demonstration to the customer’s needs and explaining ROI.
  • Provide information and documentation to help customers understand platform details.
  • Build and sustain customer relationships throughout the sales process.
  • Serve as the technical lead in pre‑sales engagements from discovery through technical close.
  • Conduct technical deep dives and answer in‑depth product and architecture questions.
  • Scope, manage, and conduct workshops or Proof‑of‑Value engagements to prove the value of the Delphix solution.
  • Convey the business value to customers in an articulate manner.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a technology pre‑sales role, preferably in software pre‑sales.
  • 2–5 years of experience in test data management, building development or test systems, or experience as a developer, test engineer, or data manager.
  • Experience in data management, database administration, software development or testing.
  • AI Fluency – Level 2:
    Skilled Prompter (Advanced Foundation / Early Proficient); able to craft effective, outcome‑oriented prompts, iterate to improve quality and speed, and validate AI outputs against business context and expectations.
Benefits and Compensation
  • Competitive base pay: $110,000 – $115,500 USD.
  • Eligible for the Sales Engineering Commission Plan.
