Network Administrator

Clackamas County seeks a motivated, customer-focused Network Administrator to join our Technology Services team. This role provides an excellent opportunity for an IT professional to expand their networking expertise while supporting the technology infrastructure that keeps county services running every day. Working alongside experienced network administrators, you will gain hands-on experience with enterprise networking systems, contribute to technology projects, and help ensure reliable, secure connectivity for employees across the county.

As a Network Administrator, you will help maintain and support the county's enterprise network by monitoring system health, responding to alerts, troubleshooting wired and wireless connectivity issues, and assisting end users and the Help Desk with network problems. You will install, configure, maintain, and repair network equipment including routers, switches, wireless access points, firewalls, VPN devices, and other hardware. Your responsibilities include network moves, adds, and changes;

IP address assignment; patch cable installation; telecommunications room and data center support; and routine network administration, including Active Directory, VLANs, DNS, web filtering, and remote access. You will also assist with technology projects, support network maintenance, travel to county facilities as needed, and work alongside senior network administrators to build your enterprise networking skills.

• Customer service and technical support in a professional environment

Annual Pay Range: $96,108 - $121,675

This position is eligible for hybrid on-site/telework, subject to the Clackamas County Teleworking Policy and based on the Department’s business needs. The exact amount of on-site/telework and schedule will be discussed with the hiring manager at the time of offer. The incumbent will be expected to report on-site for in-person meetings, team collaboration, training, or other operational needs as determined by the department.

Washington residents must perform 50% of their time on-site at Clackamas County.
