Position Summary
This position offers an exciting opportunity for a hands-on EDI/API integration specialist to play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the supplier integration network for an innovative manufacturing and technology organization. As part of the Systems Digitalization team, you will support ongoing operations and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth electronic transaction flow with over 3,000 suppliers.
This role is critical for enabling growth initiatives across key operational areas such as Direct Ship and PDC processes, providing vital technical expertise to facilitate seamless supplier onboarding and issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily EDI/API operations supporting the supplier network, ensuring reliable and efficient transaction processing.
- Troubleshoot end-to-end integration issues across multiple platforms, including internal ERP systems, external VAN providers, and supplier systems and processes.
- Lead the onboarding of suppliers for EDI and API integrations, including gathering, validating, and coordinating necessary data.
- Guide suppliers through structured root cause analysis processes when issues arise, identifying whether problems originate from the supplier, VAN, middleware, or SAP systems.
- Collaborate with IT teams and external vendors to configure systems, resolve issues, and implement enhancements.
- Support API certificate management and facilitate technical access requirements for external partners.
- Serve as a technical SME during supplier calls, providing guidance and expert advice.
- Prioritize and independently manage multiple technical issues within a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with EDI transactions (e.g., 830, 850, 855, 856, 862, 997).
- Familiarity with EDI VANs and B2B integration models.
- Working knowledge of SAP systems (ECC and/or S/4
HANA) in a supply chain or procurement context. - Proven ability supporting supplier onboarding and external system integrations.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple systems and organizational boundaries.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of working directly with suppliers and non-technical stakeholders to resolve issues and share technical insights.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with structured enterprise problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, DMAIC, or equivalent frameworks).
- Prior experience working in a global manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain environment involving extensive supplier interactions.
- Knowledge of middleware solutions and API security protocols.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a dynamic setting.
