Multnomah County is seeking an IT Desktop Supervisor to lead our skilled Desktop Teams who provide essential, hands-on IT support across the county, connecting our dedicated staff with the tools they need to serve the community. - Oversee daily desktop support operations, including task assignments, scheduling, and team meetings.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members while tracking service request metrics and supporting career growth.
- Manage overall performance through proactive support, training, accountability, and established progressive discipline processes.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues, systemic challenges, and customer concerns.
- Partner with IT leadership and department peers to align team goals, streamline support, and participate in key projects.
- Manage vendor relationships, track team performance data, and act as a central liaison between end-users and specialized IT groups.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent practical and relevant experience.
- Three (3) years of experience in a team lead or supervisory capacity overseeing, demonstrating the ability to perform the duties of the position (equivalency of 7 years of qualifying training, education, and/or experience).
- Demonstrated knowledge of hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly convey technical information.
- Experience providing coaching, mentorship, and constructive feedback to a technical team.
- Demonstrated familiarity with IT support processes and best practices.

Ability to pass a criminal records check.
Must have a valid driver license.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in a medium to large IT organization.
- Experience with Active Directory, InTune, Jamf, SCCM, Azure, Entra .
- Experience with Windows OS.
- Experience with MacOS.
- Demonstrated experience in IT Support.
