Overview
Tillmann Law is seeking an Attorney to manage personal injury cases from initial filing through resolution, including settlement, arbitration, mediation, or trial. This role requires a hands-on litigator who can independently manage case strategy, discovery, depositions, and courtroom proceedings while working closely with an experienced litigation paralegal. The ideal candidate is process-oriented, collaborative, and open to learning Tillmann Law’s established systems and workflows.

Tillmann Law is a Portland-based personal injury law firm focused on delivering exceptional advocacy for individuals injured in auto collisions, medical malpractice, wrongful death cases, and complex civil matters. - Manage a caseload of approximately 15–20 active personal injury matters at various stages of litigation.
- File and litigate personal injury cases through settlement, arbitration, or trial.
- Draft legal pleadings, complaints, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
- Conduct and defend depositions (approximately 5–8 per month).
- Represent clients in mediations and arbitrations (approximately 10 per year each).
- Prepare and try 3–4 cases per year, as needed.
- Conduct legal research and analyze case law to support litigation strategy.
- Respond to discovery requests and communications from defense counsel.
- Collaborate closely with the litigation paralegal to ensure efficient case progression.
- Participate in team trainings and contribute to a collaborative, high-accountability office culture.
- Strong litigation and courtroom presence.
- Ability to follow established processes while exercising sound legal judgment.
- Excellent legal writing and drafting skills.
- High attention to detail and case organization.
- Strong collaboration and professional communication skills.
- Comfort engaging in respectful debate and open discussion.
- Client-focused mindset with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.

- Professional resilience in a fast-paced litigation environment.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active Oregon Bar license or ability to become licensed in Oregon.
- Background in personal injury or criminal defense strongly preferred.
- Experience handling depositions and litigation matters preferred but not required.
- Open to newly licensed attorneys, attorneys returning to practice, or highly experienced litigators.
