Dunn Carney is looking to expand the Litigation Paralegal team. We are seeking a paralegal with 3-5 years of experience supporting our busy Litigation practice. This position will involve working closely with attorneys, supporting and preparing for trials, hearings, and arbitrations and managing all aspects of case files.

The preferred candidate will be responsible for drafting and finalizing legal documents, assisting in all phases of discovery, and communicating with clients, experts, witnesses and other relevant parties.

We are seeking a self-starter who is actively engaged in their own career development and is dedicated to delivering excellent, client-focused legal services. The preferred candidate should possess the following qualifications:

  • Support in areas of commercial, business, employment, construction, land use, and personal injury litigation.
  • Conduct initial investigation and witness interviews, and prepare reports of findings.
  • Assist with discovery obligations, including drafting discovery responses, client document collection, and reviewing documents for production.
  • Manage discovery databases, including coding, redacting, and marking documents for production and preparing production protocols and privilege logs.
  • Assist with document collection from non-parties or public bodies through authorizations, subpoenas, public records requests, or online searches.
  • Analyze discovery and prepare summaries for attorneys, including medical chronologies and bill summaries.
  • Research case law, statutes, and administrative rules.
  • Research federal, state, and local licensing and permitting requirements and assist in compliance with same.
  • Correspond with clients, experts, vendors, and outside counsel.
  • Prepare spreadsheets, exhibits, and presentations under supervision of attorneys.
  • Manage and track discovery deadlines.
  • Draft legal correspondence and pleadings.
