Scion Legal has been engaged to lead a confidential search on behalf of an esteemed national law firm that is seeking a talented, self-motivated Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of traditional labor law experience to join its Portland office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who is passionate about labor relations and eager to work in a collaborative, high-caliber environment focused on exceptional client service.
The ideal candidate will have meaningful exposure to collective bargaining and labor relations matters and will enjoy taking ownership of cases while working closely with experienced attorneys on sophisticated labor issues.
What You'll Bring to the Table:
- Active admission to the Oregon Bar
- 2-5 years of traditional labor law experience
- Experience with collective bargaining and contract administration
- Grievance arbitration experience
- Strong legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
- A collaborative mindset with a strong commitment to client service
Skills:
- Experience defending and prosecuting unfair labor practice charges before the National Labor Relations Board
- Employment litigation experience
- Prior client-facing advisory or counseling experience
- Comfort working closely with internal teams and external clients
Education and Experience:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
- Proven experience handling traditional labor matters from inception through resolution
- Base salary range: $160,000 - $192,500, commensurate with experience (aligned with second- through fifth-year associate levels in the Portland market)
