Sr. Employment Attorney

Description

A full-service, midsize Portland firm is seeking an experienced senior attorney to join their team. The firm is recognized for its strong client relationships and collaborative, supportive culture. This role will be focused on providing advice and counsel to well-established private and public clients, while also giving the opportunity to build and/or grow

Key Responsibilities Include:

+ Advising employer clients and HR professionals on workplace policies, compliance, and best practices

+ Drafting, updating, and revising employer policies and handbooks

+ Responding to administrative charges and investigations

+ Managing case strategy with significant autonomy under partner supervision

+ Collaborating on business development and contributing to firm initiatives

Salary and Benefits :
The salary range for this position is $150,000 to 250,000; benefits include 100% employer-paid medical and dental coverage; 401(k) with profit-sharing; paid parking; flexible paid time off; long- and short-term disability insurance; vision and life insurance; 10 paid holidays; paid sic leave, etc.

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ J.D. and active Oregon Bar admission required (WA Bar is a plus or the ability/willingness to obtain; firm pays bar expenses)

+ 5+ years' experience in employment law

+ Prior law firm experience preferred, ideally at a mid- to large-sized firm

+ Strong writing and oral advocacy skills

+ Demonstrated professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to work independently within a team environment
